About Darren Jayaratne

Darren’s career was panning out as a professional footballer before having to change direction. He then embarked on a period of travel to provide fresh perspectives. Whilst living and working in Australia (and a few other countries over a couple of years), it was here that he decided to study psychology. After gaining his bachelors degree in Psychology, Darren started working in London and then gained an MSc in Occupational Psychology. Whilst working for an HR Consultancy, Darren made a decision to work in the Gulf to explore the region, where his network and experience rapidly developed. Darren worked for the International Distributors of Saville Consulting, Assessment and Development Consultants (a&dc) and Hogan Assessment Systems. Darren returned to the UK and set-up his own company where he works in the Private and Public sectors in the UK and overseas for some of the biggest brands across the world.

We celebrate differences and our approach to recruitment and development help you to hire and manage people differently.We have worked with organisations based in the UK, USA, Europe, Asia, MENA and GCC regions. We have worked in multiple industries and sectors at all levels, including Oil & Gas, Telecommunications, Security and Defence, Financial Services, Aviation, Insurance, Transportation and the Academic arena among others. We were part of a team that trained the UK Civil Service to move away from the default position of using a Competency Framework for Recruitment, to a new “Success Profiles” Framework that is being used for Recruitment and Selection, to increase diversity and inclusion. Our work in this field has encompassed; Executive Assessments; Leadership Development; Coaching; Talent Management; Training and Strategic Evaluation. We are qualified to use a variety of Psychometric tools. Some of tools we use are: Hogan Personality Inventory, Hogan Development Survey, Motives Values Preference Inventory, Hogan Business Reasoning Inventory, Advanced Interpretation of the Hogan Suite, Myers Briggs Type Indicator, 16 Personality Factor, Mental Toughness Questionnaire 48, Saville Wave, Saville Wave Performance 360, Risk Type Compass.
